Travel like a VIP and skip sitting in the back of an Uber. Next year, you will be able to book Blade helicopter and seaplane rides straight from Uber’s app at major city hubs, airports, and more.

Where will this new service operate?

Uber has not announced a specific launch date yet, but the feature is expected to be available sometime in 2026. Blade already operates flights around southern Europe and the New York area, including JFK and Newark, as well as trips to the Hamptons. In Europe, you can fly from Nice to Cannes or Monaco. Once we hear of a launch date, we can expect new routes and cities to be added as well.

If you use the service at the airport, a Blade vehicle then takes passengers to their departure terminal. It is a huge time saver, especially in cities where traffic can be brutal. A drive from Manhattan to JFK can easily take an hour, but a Blade helicopter cuts that down to just five minutes.

A seat to the airport starts around $195, or you can charter an entire helicopter for up to eight people starting at $2,000. Bring the chopper already.
